The first part of the book is a narrative about Ukrainian regions. It's about what inspires Ukrainians when they travel their country, what attracts and motivates them. It also includes stories from cyclists - residents of those regions, about which they write and which they love with all their hearts.
This part is about various sports and not only events, different cycling disciplines, and the people who have become heroes and legends. It is about a community that is united by a love of cycling that inspires others to grow.
In the third part, we will look at various aspects of the interaction between the bicycle and urban space, and talk about locations and organizations that have become centers of the cycling community. We will also reflect on what the bicycle has become for Ukrainians in the urban environment.
In this part, we will look at the bicycle through the eyes of artists. The illustrations are a message to both those long in love with cycling and those just beginning to explore bike culture. Various techniques and styles, different stories and inner worlds are reflected in the illustrations of artists who are somehow connected with cycling.
In the fourth part of the book, we tell the stories of people from the cycling community who are defending their homeland and help in every possible and impossible way to bring our victory.
The Mission of "Velorukh" is to unite the cycling community through our book. That is why we’ve created a fundraiser where all proceeds from the sales of a portion of the printed run, as well as donations from individuals and businesses, will be transferred. This money will be sent to help cyclists who are currently at war. Join us.
As cyclists, we understand the power of unity on and off the road. It's so much more than just winning races; it's about supporting each other and standing for our values until the end. This book is a testimony of the beauty of cycling in Ukraine, as well as the power of the cycling community. I am grateful to everyone who’s created this unique book. It’s time to show the whole world how amazing Ukraine is for cycling and how important it is to support us.
